Facilities Planning & Management
At KA, we meet with our Clients to review space allocation requirements for both lab and office. We also help our
Clients in the search and selection of incubator space. Equipment needs will also be reviewed to determine that which will be provided by the lessor and equipment that the Client will be bringing into the new facility. KA will assist with noting electrical requirements, emergency back-up power, HVAC requirements and equipment sensitive to temperature variance that may require an implemented alarm system. KA will develop a strong working relationship with lessor's Facility/EH&S Department to ensure Clients are compliant with the lessor's Standard Operating Procedures.
KA has an alliance with a company that provides specialized transportation including cGMP, cGLP, IQ/OQ validated temperature monitoring system calibrated @ -196 degrees C through 60 degrees C, and a 36' air-ride trailer with reefer unit and electrical plugs for 110v & 220v freezers and refrigerators; additionally, the truck has (2) 30 kilowatt redundant generators. KA will work with their client and provide project management for the relocation of laboratories, office operations and employees including household.
Alarm Systems for Facility and Equipment
KA will work with Clients on the selection of alarm systems for access into Client office and laboratory areas. Higher level access may be required based on chemicals, biologicals, and hazardous waste. Alarms may also be required for equipment with samples and/or chemicals sensitive to temperature variance.
Laboratory and Office Furniture
We help our Clients outfit the laboratory, administrative and office areas. Furnishing may include built-in case work, modular lab benches, lab stools, workstations, desks, bookcases and chairs. KA has access to new, used and remanufactured furniture (which contributes to LEED Certification for "Green" Buildings).
KA has alliances with engineers and contractors should any Client require built-in or modular clean rooms.
Environmental Health & Safety
KA has a team that will provide the necessary documents and training to Clients to meet OSHA Standards, such as: Chemical Hygiene Plans, Biosafety Manuals, HAZCOM Training (Hazardous Communication), EAP Training (Emergency Action Plan), PPE Assessment (Personal Protective Equipment), DOT and RCRA training to those signing manifests for biohazard or chemical waste disposal, assist with set-up of Occupational Health Services, and additional ancillary items relating to employee and environmental health and safety. KA has alliances with specific companies that will pack and dispose of biohazard and chemical waste and together we provide other value added services to meet local, state and federal requirements.
Laboratory Equipment
KA has access to all laboratory equipment needs from chemical fume hoods to bench top equipment and will assist the client with price negotiations. Leasing: Should the Client require equipment that cannot be afforded initially, KA has established an alliance with a company that will provide lease agreements with an option to buy. Used/Refurbished: KA has access to locating used/refurbished lab equipment rather than purchasing new and in some cases able to obtain an extended service contract from the manufacturer.

KA has the ability to provide IT Products and Services to their clients including servers, computers, computer accessories, etc. We can fulfill our clients computer hardware needs that their industry demands. We also specialize in building secure information management systems for web based and internal use.
